Could this be one of the most brutal crimes in Egypt for over a century? Due to the prolific nature of this article, viewer discretion is advised.

This, in our books, is one of the worst murder cases we heard about in our lifetime. Allegedly, various media outlets reported that a man, Al Agouz, has beheaded his 26 years old wife, in the presence of his three teenage daughters, then send photos of the head to her parents. This incident took place in the small village of Tira, in the governorate of Dakahlia.

You’d think that’s all of it, but sadly there is more. Al Agouz later went live on Facebook, with his two daughters in the background, broadcasting what he did and inviting media outlets to come and “interview him”. As soon as he went live, people on his friend list immediately alerted the authorities which later led to his capture.

As the police agents infiltrated his house, he threatened to murder his three daughters but fortunately, he was unsuccessful, and the police were able to apprehend him. The police, recently, have been holding a firm leash on crimes in Egypt and we applaud them for that.

Ethically, we are prohibited from sharing any videos or pictures in respect of the deceased and her family.

We are yet to know the cause behind his actions. But one can confidently say that the criminal is physiologically imbalanced. It’s often known that when a certain country undergoes economic imbalance. It directly correlates to the murder rate of that certain country.

We pray for her and her family. No one alive should go through such horror.

You owe your mind its peace. Always make sure that you’re taking care of your mental health. We are all going through the same things. So, travel and have some sun at Borj El- Arab Hotel in Alexandria.
