More than 66,000 Valid Driving Licences for Expats Cancelled in Kuwait

Driving Licences for Expats Cancelled in Kuwait: The Kuwaiti Ministry of the Interior has taken away the driving licences of 66,854 foreigners. This decision comes after the permanent revocation of work permits. And is the first set of actions taken based on the suggestions of a special committee. Set up by Sheikh Talal Al Khaled, the First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of the Interior, and Acting Minister of Defence.

The committee’s main job is to check that all active driver’s licences. Meet all legal requirements by doing a full audit of each one. As soon as the committee gives its report, the ministers will make the right choices right away.

The committee’s preliminary results show that there are 66,584 active licences. For people who used to live in Kuwait but no longer do because they died or left. All of these passes have been taken away because of this. If these people meet the standards. The licencing process will have to start all over again when they go back to Kuwait. But they won’t be able to renew the licence they already have.

It is likely that ministers will make more choices like this in the future. Which will strengthen Kuwait’s regulatory system even more. Sheikh Talal Al Khaled put together the committee to look into driver’s licences. They have already been given to make sure they meet the requirements set by the appropriate ministers.
